Spring Bears, Spring Bunnies

Spring is almost here...officially, Sunday March 20th marks the Vernal Equinox. Coinciding, but not coincidentally, with the Vernal Equinox is Scarlet Elfcup's birth date! Yes, friends, on Sunday, March 20th Scarlet Elfcup will turn two! There is much to be celebrated in the second year of life. But, don't let me spoil the fun just yet.

Instead, let me tell you that the bears and the bunnies have come out from hibernation to jumpstart the festivities that Spring has to offer.

This lot has roused from slumber to gather together and bring you baskets of Easter goods. After making Juju Bunny for Baby Amandina, I was so excited to have a stuffed bunny pattern that I wanted to make different variations of the critter by working with different fabric types and textures. Here are the results:

KORDEE, corduroy baby bear

Kordee measures slightly less than 8" (20 cm) long. This lovely textured bear is made with all natural materials. Kordee is made with 100% cotton corduroy. Kordee's ears, hands and feet are lined with a beautiful 100% Japanese Echino cotton linen fabric. Kordee is stuffed with 100% clean carded wool. His eyes and nose are embroidered with 100% cotton embroidery floss. His arms and legs are string jointed and stabilized and strengthened with beautiful vintage wooden buttons.

Kordee comes dressed accordingly for the occasion whilst wearing a hand knit bunny bonnet. His tangerine bonnet is hand knit with a 50% wool / 50% alpaca yarn by Isager. The ears are lined with the same fabric as that on his ears, hands and feet.

Kordee comes bearing a nest full of tiny eggs which he found on the forest floor while scavenging for nuts and berries. The nest measures 3" (7.6 cm) in diameter and less than 1" (2.5 cm) tall and is crocheted with strips of 100% Japanese cotton linen fabric , made from the same material as that lining his ears, paws and feet. The three small wooden eggs each measure a little over 1" (2.5 cm) tall and are left unfinished and undecorated so that you can have the pleasure of decorating them with baby bear, Kordee, over Easter.

CARMINA, velveteen baby bunny

Carmina measures approximately 8" (20 cm) long. This luxurious velveteen bunny is made with all natural materials. Carmina is made with premium quality 100% cotton velvet. When you hold her, you will know how ultra soft she feels. Carmina's ears, hands and feet are lined with a beautiful 100% Japanese Echino cotton linen fabric. Carmina is stuffed with 100% clean carded wool. Her eyes and nose are embroidered with 100% cotton embroidery floss. Her arms and legs are string jointed and stabilized and strengthened with beautiful wooden crafted buttons.

Carmina comes capped with an ultra-soft bunny bonnet. Her lovely 100% baby alpaca hat is hand knit with holes fitted just for her baby bunny ears to poke through.

Carmina comes carrying on her back a basket filled with a single wooden egg. The basket measures a little over 2" (5 cm) in diameter and about 2" (5 cm) tall and is crocheted with a 100% merino wool yarn by Madeleine Tosh. The straps are made of 100% linen ribbon. The wooden egg is made in Russia and measures 3" (7.6 cm) tall and 6" (15 cm) in circumference...so, about the size of an actual small egg. The egg is left unfinished and undecorated so that you may have the pleasure of painting and adorning it yourself on Easter. It is also hollowed inside...perfect for inserting a tiny surprise for your loved one on Easter.

TOTO, woolen baby bear

Toto measures 10" (25 cm) long. This sweet soft bear is made with all natural materials. Toto is made with clean, pre-washed, repurposed 100% merino wool. Toto's ears, hands and feet are lined with a lovely Liberty of London 100% cotton poplin fabric. Toto is stuffed with 100% clean carded wool. His eyes and nose are embroidered with 100% cotton embroidery floss. His arms and legs are string jointed and stabilized and strengthened with 100% coconut shell buttons.

Toto comes capped with an ultra-soft bunny bonnet. His lovely 100% baby alpaca hat is hand knit with an Isager yarn and the ears are lined with the same fabric as that found on his ears, hands and feet.

Toto lumbers along carrying a basket filled with three tiny wooden eggs. The basket is hand weaved using clean and treated pine-needles shed by the great Redwood trees found locally. The basket is weaved in the shape of an upside-downed bees nest for little bears love to dip their paws inside such nests when the sweet smell of honey is in the air. Inside the basket, strips of linen are used for straw. The three small wooden eggs each measure a little over 1" (2.5 cm) tall. The trio of unfinished wooden eggs are perfect for decorating to your heart's desire come Easter.

PEBBLES, cotton linen baby bunny

Pebbles measures approximately 8" (20 cm) long. This simply chic bunny is made with all natural materials. Pebbles is made with 100% cotton linen. Pebbles' ears, hands and feet are lined with a beautiful 100% Japanese cotton linen fabric. Pebbles is stuffed with 100% clean carded wool. Her eyes and nose are embroidered with 100% cotton embroidery floss. Her cheeks are blushed with red beeswax. Her arms and legs are string jointed and stabilized and strengthened with beautiful wooden crafted buttons.

Pebbles comes wearing a smart bunny bonnet. Her sweet pink cap is hand knit with mohair, silk and merino wool yarn and an opening made just to fit her wee bunny lobes.

Pebbles comes carrying on her back a basket filled with a single wooden egg. The basket measures a little over 2" (5 cm) in diameter and about 2" (5 cm) tall and is crocheted with a 100% cotton yarn. The straps are made from ric-rac. The wooden egg measures 3" (7.6 cm) tall and 6" (15 cm) in circumference...so, about the size of an actual small egg. The egg is left unadorned so that you may have the pleasure of painting and decorating it to your heart's delight. And the hollowed inside is perfect for sneaking a special note or treat inside for your loved one.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Kordee, Carmina, Toto, and Pebbles are recommended for ages 5+ due to the delicate nature of their design. Their string jointed limbs will not withstand rough play. And the small parts on them pose as choking hazards for very young children. They are not intended for children who still mouth their toys.

If you are interested in giving these Spring bears and Spring bunnies a loving home to go to for Easter, they are now available in the Etsy shop.

Wisegrey

ALAS! Welcome to the world, Wisegrey!

As I spent the month of January tending to many things within and beyond my workshop, this little owl sat in perfect patience waiting for his turn to awaken so that he may gather his "five-pound note, a small guitar and a honey jar" to begin on his journey of "a year and a day" across the seas with his sweetheart in search of their ring.

Without further ado, let me introduce to you a young, grey and wise little soul.

If you were around last Fall, you might remember a young kitty by the name of Margaux.

Wisegrey came into the world for Margaux. So, soon...very soon these two shall set sail to the place where they will "dine on mince and slices of quince" and "dance by the light of the moon." Ah...swoon!

Wisegrey and Margaux are inspired by Scarlet Elfcup's "The Owl and the Pussycat" playset, created back in September of 2014. Margaux went home to her mama long ago and she's been patiently waiting for the arrival of her little owl. To read more about the inspiration behind the making of Wisegrey, you must read the "Words of Wisdom."

So, here he is...Wisegrey! Surely, you must be able to guess how he got his name. I needn't say more than the fact that his beautiful grey suit and the words of wisdom he carries in his hat and on his sleeve speaks for themselves. Little Wisegrey can doctor the grayest of days with words of comfort and wisdom, which he always carries under his hood and on his sleeves. Who wouldn't want such a wise sweet boy nearby always?

Wisegrey is an 8" (20 cm) doll, made with natural materials. His facial skin is made with premium quality swiss cotton jersey and his body/bodysuit is composed of ultra-soft, clean, repurposed 100% cashmere. He is softly stuffed with bio-wool and weighted with non-toxic, washable stuffing beads. His owl bodysuit is permanently sewn on, but his hat is remove-able to reveal a sweet head full of ginger-brown hair. His hair is made of mohair yarn. His owl hat has buttons for the eyes and a piece of printed fabric for the nose. He has an embroidered and simple, expressionless face. His cheeks and nose are blushed with red beeswax. His wings are embellished with beautiful and inspiring words of wisdom cut from individually-shaped fabrics sewn and then stitched to the wing. His feet are lined on one side with this beautiful printed fabric.

Wisegrey comes with his sweet guitar made of 100% cotton from a gorgeous vintage Owl and Pussycat fabric. The guitar is stuffed with 100% clean carded wool and measures about 6 in. (15 cm) long.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Wisegrey is recommended for ages 8+ due to the delicate nature of his design and the small parts on him that pose as choking hazards for very young children.

Words of Wisdom

The beginning of a new year offers the opportunity for possibilities and also for responsibilities. In the creative business, it means there are many administrative hum-drums to be taken care of...the duller, less colorful side of things, you might say. It also means the opportunity to make adjustments, fine tune or even eliminate some things that either worked or didn't work in the past year....improve on a pattern or design or create altogether an entirely different pattern or design, build upon current skill sets or learn completely new ones. It's all an adventure really!

So, with great pleasure, I begin on a custom creation that not only puts to work the imagination and creativity, but is also offering me a chance to reflect and contemplate on some thoughts and ideas...particularly, the direction in which I would like to balance my personal life with my creative life in 2016, both of which I love and enjoy deeply.

In the process of gathering thoughts and ideas for not only this next custom creation but also for Scarlet Elfcup's direction in 2016, I've been digesting some words of wisdom offered by a small young owl who is about to come to life soon.

First and foremost....

Max Ehrmann's Desiderata is among one of my favorite poems of all time. There is a history, a sentimental attachment to these words....a very deeply personal one. In these words resonate a personal story that echoes the sound of a love found and lost, of persons and memories that exist in my mind today only as haunting voices and images. So, yes, this poem holds a very dear, very tender and very special place in my heart. Perhaps one day, I will be able to designate a creation wholesomely on this poem and then I will be able to tell you it's full story. But, until I am courageous enough to bring that story back to life, these words are mere letters that sit nearby and flutter in the wind of life, waiting for it's turn to be set free into the air.

So, I take them for no more or no less than what they are today...words of wisdom..."Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars....In the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul." Isn't this all worth striving for starting from today and forever more?

"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do." I've strived from the start to make this Scarlet Elfcup's purpose. Scarlet Elfcup exists not because I'm an artist or have brilliant talent or skills, but because I wanted to take all the beauty that I've had in life...the things of the past, the things of the present and even the things of the unknown and turn them into something tangible, truly to bring them to life...to make them immortal in a sense. Perhaps this is because I have a hard time letting go of things and in my mind, if I can make these things tangible to me and for others who might hold a doll, a creature, a something that I made with my hands that was inspired by the beauty that I experienced....perhaps, I keep thinking, that will make these beautiful things that I've experienced, am experiencing, might experience....perhaps it will make it so that they don't slip away into nothingness. I know it's a silly thought....to try and make sentimental things become tangible and even immortal, but still, it makes me happy to think that I might have a tangible version of it exist somewhere in the world and then if the story about this beauty is shared, then perhaps somewhere in another place of the world....someone else might know of this beauty and then it makes them happy. Then, to me...it's not such a silly thought after all.

"Sew your little heart out...have tea...collage...go make art...make something that you like...don't worry if it's not perfect...make something amazing for someone you love." The difference between a personal life and a creative life is a thin, fine and very gray line. Sometimes, I ask, isn't it one and the same if this is what one loves? But, no...not really...it's not one and the same. I think it's a slippery slope and a dangerous idea to make oneself be one's passion or one's work...it really is not the same. So, this year, I want to make a goal of balancing these two things that may seem to be one in the same sometimes....the personal life and the creative life. I want to sew and make for myself and for my dearly loved ones as much as I make for Scarlet Elfcup. And I think that in doing this, I'm going to be able to make Scarlet Elfcup be more of who she is and me be more of who I am and in the end, they will each balance each other out in a beautiful way. And I wish for you the same...go make something amazing for yourself and for someone you love...don't worry if it's not perfect....just MAKE.

With these three thoughts to start me on my next creation, I want little boy owl's mama to know that these words are spoken to her, for her and not just for her, but also for her little boy who has grown so quickly and whose image is reflected in this little boy owl. This creation, the sentiments in the words that will be attached to this creation, mean so much more than what it seems...represents so much more than what appears on the surface. This creation represents all the sentiments I expressed above...the whole thing about making something tangible, turning sentiments into something immortal so that we may always have it's presence in our hands and near to us...for this creation, it represents a mother's wish to hold on so tightly to her little boy's fleeting childhood memories...the ones of the past, the present and the unknown. It is a sentiment that I understand so well and so whole heartedly as I watch my very own little boy of 3 years grow and grow fast and grow faster and faster. It's a heartache to see the speed of light work itself within a child. No wonder we desire the need for sentiments to become tangible and even immortalized. No body knows how to let go of those we love the most....no body.

Now, on a lighter note, let's play a bit with some colors and textures. Back in October, Winston came to life. And oh, did I love this owl, as did so many others. He was a wise little owl who carried these words of wisdom on his wings and in his hat...to be taken out and given for a day when the blues might come or for days when things feel harder than usual...he was a pick-me-upper kind of guy.

He was just that kind of guy who knows just the right thing to say and when to say it, to make a person feel better right away. So, you can't blame me for wishing that I could clone him...make a large assembly line of little Winstons and hand them out for all who need his words of wisdom on a grey day...kinda like the manufacturing of the moon in the book "When the Moon Forgot" by Jimmy Liao. It really wouldn't be the same...Winston or the moon. But, that goes for all Scarlet Elfcup creations. I like for each creation to be unique unto itself...unique in it's inspiration and unique in the process of creation, so that truly, each making that comes to life is one-of-a-kind and inspired by something one-of-a-kind. As such, a mama and her little boy have inspired the making of another wise owl...but, don't be mistaken...this is not the mini-me of Winston. This little man is his own.

This is the moment of "imagination" and "playfulness" in Scarlet Elfcup's motto "Dreams, Imagination, Adventure and Playfulness"....for all ages....that includes me. Here's where creativity goes to play.

For his coat...a neutral color that is not screaming and gleaming with brilliance, but that conveys gentle and quiet words of wisdom. Will all grey work? Or perhaps a mix of grey and cream with some beautiful trim added? If grey is not for today...how about the neutral of cream, but with a different texture scheme...a soft, all wool pinstriped fabric type?

For his eyes, this has been decided...a green to match the eyes of a very loved boy. Here are the shades of green from which to toy.

As for his locks, shall we go with loopy boucle or brushed mohair? Whichever one you dare to flair, make sure to choose the shade for which "he" will be most portrayed.

Before I leave you to your day, to ponder on these thoughts, let these words be imparted to you....

Go do something that you've been holding back on...

Go be YOU...

Remember...YOU are enough!

Go find love....then give it all away....

To all the blessings in your life....

And finally....most of all....

To our little wise owl....can't wait to see your little face shine through soon!

Fall Critters....

....they are back!!!

It seems as if it was only a blink of an eye ago that we were soaking up the heat of the Summer and now it feels as if Fall is in full swing. Around here, leaves have begun to turn and fall, pumpkins readily greet visitors at the local markets, pomegranates are in season and skies are darker and cooler.

As such, I hear the call of some old friends from the woods. If you were around this time last year, you remember the story behind the creation of The Owl and the Pussycat. As it turned out, I loved these creatures oh so much that I went on to call upon more of them and that's when the critters came around to celebrate the coming of Fall. This year, I needn't call upon them for they came out all on their own.

Reader, meet the first of this year's Fall Critters, Mia and Winston, creations inspired by Scarlet Elfcup's The Owl and the Pussycat playset.

Meet Winston

(a wise-bitty owl who carries with him many words of wisdom)

Winston is an 8" (20 cm) doll, made with natural materials. His facial skin is made with premium quality swiss cotton jersey and his body/bodysuit is composed of clean, repurposed 100% cashmere (makes him ultra soft). He is softly stuffed with bio-wool and weighted with non-toxic, washable stuffing beads. His owl bodysuit is permanently sewn on, but his hat is remove-able to reveal a sweet head full of brown hair. His hair is made of mohair yarn. His owl hat has buttons for the eyes and a piece of printed fabric for the nose. He has an embroidered and simple, expressionless face. His cheeks and nose are blushed with red beeswax. His wings are embellished with pretty cuts of individually-shaped fabrics sewn and then stitched to the wing. His feet are lined on one side with a cotton fabric printed with beautiful words of wisdom.

Next, meet Mia

(a pensive and playful kitty)

Mia, like her pal Winston, is an 8" (20 cm) doll, made with natural materials. Her facial skin is made with premium quality swiss cotton jersey and her body/bodysuit is composed of clean, repurposed 100% cashmere, making her ultra soft to hold and cuddle. She is softly stuffed with bio-wool and weighted with non-toxic, washable stuffing beads. Her kitty bodysuit is permanently sewn on, but her hat is remove-able to reveal a head full of golden locks. Her hair is made of mohair yarn. Her kitty hat has buttons for the eyes, a nose that is embroidered and whiskers made of embroidery floss. She has an embroidered and simple, expressionless face. Her cheeks and nose are blushed with red beeswax. Her kitty hands and feet are lined on one side with a playful and colorfully printed fabric.

Winston and Mia each come carrying a cotton muslin sack filled with Fall harvest...a small batch of three needle felted pumpkins. One of my favorite parts about making the Fall Critters is the needle-felting of the pumpkins. There is an endless array of color combinations and types of squashes and pumpkins to be had for the fun, not to mention the variety of textures and shapes for the making. The pumpkins are made with 100% wool roving and clean carded wool. And they range in size from 1 inch to 2 inches wide and tall.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the delicate nature of their design and the small parts on them that pose as choking hazards for young children, Winston and Mia are recommended for ages 8+.

If you are interested in bringing Winston and/or Mia home to celebrate the start of a wonderful Fall season, they will be at Dollectable on October 1, 2015 at 7:00 PM (EST). This is a good opportunity to bring home these ultra soft and pudgey friends for a special value of $65 USD each. If they are still available after the Dollectable upload, they will be moved to the Scarlet Elfcup Etsy shop and will be available in the shop at retail value.

The Magic of Fall

Hello friends! I am so thrilled that Fall is almost here! It is, for our family, the most favorite time of year...a time when the seasons change (yes, even here in California...even here, the leaves change colors and the air gets ever more blustery and there are pumpkins and falling leaves and acorns and the smell of spice all around). At our house, it is also a time to celebrate many things...birthdays, family visits, ethnic traditions, holidays. It is indeed the most hectic and fun time of year for us.

Now that Summer is coming to a close and Fall is rolling near, Scarlet Elfcup's workshop will once again come to life. Even with the passing weeks, one by one critters and dolls have begun to make a lot of noise, tugging and calling for attention, asking and begging to be brought to life. All summer long they have been sitting idle, quietly and patiently waiting in their heaps of fibers, doll skins, fabrics. Now, it's their time for play!

In a couple more weeks, some Fall critters will be showing their faces and one or two 6" Wee-Bee Mini Elfcups will be here for a special Ethnic celebration. So, stay tuned!

The Owl and The Pussycat

In my previous blog, I mentioned a number of nursery rhymes and music collections that are the favorites in our household. Amongst some of my favorites to sing to my children at night or whenever they need comfort and soothing is Edward Lear's, The Owl and the Pussycat. Although The Owl and the Pussycat is a nursery rhyme/poem, I first discovered it through music by Susie Tallman.  This very popular poem was sung beautifully by Tallman in her album, Classic Nursery Rhymes.  And it is to this tune that I sing to my children The Owl and the Pussycat.

When I sing this song, I am taken away to a place of beauty, on a boat, floating peacefully at sea under a moonlit night with the echo of the lovely guitar and the lapping of the waves against the hull of a boat.  It is not so different from one of the most beautiful and magical moments that I had with my husband when we travelled to Vietnam many years ago. During part of our trip, we spent three days and two nights on a sampan floating amongst the amazing labyrinth of limestone mountains jutting out of the sea in Halong Bay, north Vietnam.  I will never forget how peaceful, simply magical, and amazing it all was. Truly, I am humbled and struck with awe time and again by the breathtaking grandeur of our planet.

There are things like music, like smells or light, which are so provocative of moods or places or people, and which being shapeless, are timeless. If only there was a way we can capture these things and lock it up in a bottle so that when we forget we can always open up the bottle and let it remind us of how alive we are. In the same, I wish there was a way to capture the sense of peace and happiness I had being with my husband on that sampan in Halong Bay many years ago and of the moments when the world around me is still and I have only my babies in my arm to rock and sway to sleep. But, sadly, these things that are shapeless and timeless are also elusive and they slip very quickly from our lives. So, in an attempt to bring tangibility to what is not, I created The Owl and the Pussycat. And in the hope that touching and feeling the love and the life that exists in the boat, I can in some small way send into the world a bit of the peace and happiness that I experienced with my husband and that I experience now when singing my children to sleep to the sound of the song The Owl and the Pussycat.

You can listen to an abbreviated sample of The Owl and the Pussycat as sung by Suzie Tallman, here.  Just click the play button at the lower left hand corner and a 30 second sample of the song is played.

The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat.

They took some honey and plenty of money wrapped up in a five-pound note. The Owl looked up to the stars above and sang to a small guitar, “O lovely Kitty, O Kitty my love, what a beautiful Kitty you are, you are, you are, what a beautiful Kitty you are.”

Kitty said to the Owl, “You elegant fowl, how charmingly sweet you sing. Oh let us be married too long we have tarried, but what shall we do for a ring?” They sailed away for a year and a day to the land where the palm tree grows, and there in a wood, a piggywick stood, with a ring at the end of his nose, his nose, his nose, with a ring at the end of his nose.

“Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling your ring?” Said the Piggy, “I will.” So they took it away and were married next day by the turkey who lives on the hill. They dined on mince and slices of quince, which they ate with a runcible spoon. And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, they danced by the light of the moon, the moon, the moon, they danced by the light of the moon.

The Owl and the Pussycat, Edward Lear

The Owl and the Pussycat set comes with the following:

The Owl

The Owl is an 8" (20 cm) doll, made with natural materials and he is a one-of-a-kind cutie. His facial skin is made with premium quality swiss cotton interlock and his body/bodysuit is composed of clean, repurposed 100% cashmere (makes him super soft). He is softly stuffed with bio-wool. His wings and owl feet are lined on one side with a beautiful but neutral colored printed fabric.

The Pussycat

The Kitty is an 8" (20 cm) doll, made with natural materials and she is a one-of-a-kind sweetheart. Her facial skin is made with premium quality swiss cotton interlock and her body/bodysuit is composed of clean, repurposed 100% cashmere, making her ultra soft to hold and cuddle. She is softly stuffed with bio-wool. Her kitty bodysuit is permanently sewn on, but her hat is remove-able to reveal a head full of red hair. Her hair is made of mohair yarn. Her kitty hat has buttons for the eyes, a nose that is embroidered and whiskers made of embroidery floss. She has an embroidered and simple, expressionless face. Her cheeks and nose are blushed with red beeswax. Her kitty hands and feet are lined on one side with a beautiful light, striped, pink-colored printed fabric.

The Boat

I had a lot of fun entertaining numerous ideas for the boat. But, there is after all only 24 hours in a day, so I chose the one idea that I thought was the cutest...the pea pod. In the lyrics, The Owl and the Pussycat travel in a "pea-green" boat. So, this gave me the idea to add a dash of imagination by making the boat a pea pod. How fun is that? The boat measures 30" (76 cm) long from the top of the stem to the end of the boat. It is 16" (40 cm) long at the bottom/base. And it is 6" (15 cm) tall from the bottom/base of the boat to the top edge of the boat. The boat is hand knit by me using a 100% organic cotton yarn by Blue Sky Alpacas. The pea pod pattern design is by Angie Hartley of 4aSong. Angie's pattern is intended for use as a newborn photography prop. However, I've turned it into my purpose of use as a boat for the Owl and the Pussycat and it turned out to be perfect for this purpose. The boat includes amazing details of a pea pod's stem, leaf and tendril. I've converted the ball of pea into an anchor for the boat by attaching a long i-cord to the pea. The stem, leaf, tendril, and pea ball/boat anchor are made from a 100% superwash merino wool by Cascade Yarns. The pea is softly stuffed with bio-wool. It measures 3" (7 cm) in diameter.

The Guitar

The guitar is made of 100% cotton fabric. The front fabric has a sweet vintage print of The Owl and the Pussycat and the back side of the guitar has a green wood grain printed fabric. This tiny guitar is softly stuffed with bio-wool. It measures 5.5" (14 cm) long.

The Honey Jar

The honey jar is needle felted using 100% wool roving. It is capped with a vintage cream colored doily and tied with a strand of hemp cord. It stands 3" (7 cm) tall.

The Owl and the Pussycat set can be used for a number of purposes interchangeably. It's intended purpose is for play or for a nursery room decor piece. The pea pod boat can also be used as a newborn photography prop when the dolls, guitar, honey jar and pea anchor are removed.

The Owl and the Pussycat set is recommended for ages 4+ due to the delicate nature of the design and the small parts on them.

The Owl and the Pussycat have found a beautiful home to go to. Thank you.
